Location: Nashville,TN,USA Member Since: Feb 01, 2009 Gender: Female Goal Type: Other Running Accomplishments: Years back, I ran 3 -4 miles, three times a week and 1-2 miles on the "off days"...I felt great about my health and fitness however my knee injuries from my past started to creep out. For a couple years I ran on a treadmill doing mostly interval training, sprint for a minute, jog for a minute, walk for a minute. Then, I signed up for the Ragner Relay (200-mile relay) and started my outdoor running training along with my dog. With winter brining in cold mornings, I have been running 3-4 miles on the treadmill and spinning class twice a week. I thought this blog would be a great way to get me ready for the relay race and possibly a half marathon. Short-Term Running Goals: I plan to run/walk a half marathon this year and hopefully run the half marathon next year. Long-Term Running Goals: I would love to run a full marathon some day. At this point I still doubt I could, but I think it's more of a mental game... Personal: I compete in ballroom dancing and love taking my dog to the dog park. |
